Abstract and semi abstract paintings inspired by the natural world, from wide open spaces of sky and sea, to patterns in the sand and distant islands.

To feed into my work in the studio I sketch and paint outdoors to absorb something of the changing light, the sounds and scents and the experience of the passing of time in that place.

A common thread running through my work is an interest in the patterns within the composition as well as a love of colour.

I have a collection of textiles and Japanese paper that sometimes find their way into my work.

My flower paintings on silk bring together my love of colour, textiles and  growing plants.

TUITION

 I offer regular classes in watercolour and bespoke sessions either one to one or for small groups in watercolour, acrylic, gel printing or silk painting. Also avaiable on zoom.
