My path as an artist stretches over many years.

My work is inspired by the natural world, from wide open spaces of sky and sea, patterns in the sand and distant islands or mountains.

I am currently working on abstract and semi abstract landscapes. To feed into my work in the studio I sketch and paint outdoors to absorb something of the changing light, the sounds and scents and the experience of the passing of time in that place.

A common thread running through my work is an interest in the patterns within the composition as well as a love of colour.

I have a collection of textiles and Japanese paper that sometimes find their way into my work.

My flower paintings on silk bring together my love of colour, textiles and  growing plants.

I am delighted to be exhibiting 2 paintings with the 160th Annual exhibition of the Society of Women Artists online this year at www.society-women-artists.org.uk

Currently I am offering zoom classes in watercolour and bespoke one to one sessions in watercolour, acrylic or silk painting.
